Beef Cooking Times
Beef cooking times will vary depending on the type and thickness of the steak and how hot your pan is. Cooking times below are for steaks one inch thick.
Blue Steak
When cooking allow the steaks to come to room temperature. Rub the steaks with olive oil and season with salt and ground black pepper. Preheat a ridged grill pan and cook the steaks for 1 minute each side. Using a thongs seal around the edges of the steak.
Allow to rest from the pan for a couple of minutes. The outside should be brown while the inside should be raw. To touch there should be very little resistance from the meat. Bacteria on the outside of the steak will be killed by the intense hot temperature so blue or rare steaks are perfectly safe to eat.
